As part of the GLI team you will be responsible for developing long-term goals and strategic objectives to support GLI's vison of Louisville becoming the Idea Capital of the World.
GLI is seeking a Communications Manager to assist with media relations, write and edit letters, speeches, news releases, and other communication content. Manage production various e-communications; coordinate economic development announcements and news conferences; seek out stories from internal and external resources.
|Duties:||Writing and managing timely process of member communications|
Write, proofread and edit copy for letters, speeches, new releases
Work with media outlets on stories, handle inquiries, and arrange interviews
Coordinate news conference and announcements
Work closely with internal and external teams/partners
Manage social media and on-line content
Perform other work as assigned.
Bachelorís Degree plus four (4) years of writing experience. A combination of education and experience may be substituted when proficiency is demonstrated.
Excellent organizational and administrative skills are essential to manage multiple projects, as well as excellent communications and writing skills. Must be able to work with deadlines. Must maintain a valid driver's license.

SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
