| Description: | Under general supervision, the international intern will help us develop new programs for GLIP focused on strengthening our organization�s mission of engaging and connecting our members
This is an internship position with a one year assignment and possibly longer
25 hours a week avg., flexible hours with availability to work evenings and weekends for events.

| Duties: | Provide direct support to the Manager of Global Engagement
Assist in developing program documentation and coordination for Amazing Global Marketplace 2012-2013. Interact with prospective members, mentors and students.
Develop and implement an orientation for new members to engage them with the city and GLIP
Work in collaboration with our partners to develop new program for cross cultural consultancy
Outreach to community organizations, businesses, and international talent to build membership
Coordinate logistics of GLIP events and programs with event management team
Update website information and content � calendar, member updates and newsletters
Update social media to promote events, programs, and recruit members
Participate and attend community and social events representing GLIP
Maintain accurate GLIP database information
Perform other duties as assigned
EFFORT:
Sitting for long periods of time at a desk and working at a computer. Occasional lifting, reaching and carrying. Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and or fingers. Must be able to see, hear and speak.
MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT:
Computer, printer, calculator, photocopy machine, fax machine, telephone, shredder

| Qualifications: | Qualifications: High school diploma with an associate degree (or higher) plus two years of professional experience. The applicant may be enrolled in four year degree or more in business related field.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Can demonstrate proficient skills for public speaking. Must be able to organize and coordinate multiple projects. Must be detail oriented and demonstrate ability to interact with all levels of professionals.
A combination of education, experience and training may be substituted when competency in the position is demonstrated.
Must be able to pass any required drug test and must be able to maintain the confidentiality of any information s/he encounters.

SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Bi-lingual skills required. General knowledge and experience working with an international audience.
The incumbent must have computer skills. Experience with the following types of software and/or Windows based applications is preferred: word processing, databases, Internet, e-mail. Experience with social media is preferred.
